Orthopaedics

Patients and their families from across the region seek out the expertise and technology offered through the Orthopaedic Services at Summit Medical Center - the first hospital in Middle Tennessee to offer orthopaedic navigation for total joints.

Summit announced recently that it has entered a new era in the surgical planning and care of patients with the acquisition of the StealthStation® treatment guidance system. The StealthStation® system offers revolutionary, next-generation 3D imaging technology to guide Summit Medical Center surgeons through complicated operative procedures, including neurological, spinal, orthopaedic and ear/nose/throat surgeries. As a result, patients may have significantly shortened operating times, reduced surgical invasiveness and faster recoveries.

Image-guided surgery also provides new alternatives for patients with multiple medical problems, patients who may not be able to tolerate large, invasive surgeries and patients whose conditions in the past would have been considered inoperable. Summit Medical Center is thrilled to offer this level of technology in orthopaedic navigation.
